We are kickstarting 2024 by returning to the Downtown LA area. Any TKS students and their siblings can join with a guardian/parent.
January has been very dynamic and exciting so far.
Our new series “LEADERSHIP and MOTIVATION” kicked off with a bang.
We started This new program where our Special Class ( Poomsa and Sparring) and Demo Team members join the regular classes and lead, show, help, and encourage the students. The Special Class Demo Team members learn to take the role of leaders and learn the weight of the responsibilities as one. For the students, it can be a source of motivation that can help them set new goals. The classes have been so much fun, too. We hope to do this more often this year.
Our adult class had a black belt testing last Saturday, December the 9th, 2023.
We were honored to have Grandmaster Lee, Yong Geun and also Grandmaster Eo, Soo Il from Spain with us to observe the Adult Black Belt Testing.
Chang Kook Joo: First Degree Black Belt
Helen Yi: Third Degree Black Belt
Sylvia Shim: Fourth Degree Black Belt
Hye Moon: Fourth Degree Black Belt
Our 2023 Holiday Goody Bag project was a huge success again. We thank all the volunteers and parents who took the time to bring them out. All the backpacks were filled with essential items, including beanies, gloves, socks, scarves, blankets, and toiletries. We are always grateful that we can share what we can with those who are in need.
